Career showcase expo information

The Midyear Regional Meetings (MRMs) are the only professional meetings in the United States designed exclusively for student pharmacists, offering an unmatched opportunity for meaningful one-on-one interaction with students.

Benefits of exhibiting at the Career Showcase Expo

MRM Career Showcase expo fees and registration deadlines
  • Local/state pharmacy associations and residency/fellowship/graduate programs
    • $400.00 for one MRM or $600.00 for both regions
  • National, local, and regional community pharmacies, corporations, hospitals, companies, fraternities, associations
    • $800.00 for one MRM or $1,200.00 for both regions

Exhibitor fee includes the cost for two exhibitors. Additional exhibitors are $50 per person/location.

Exhibitor registration will be accepted 2 weeks before the Friday of each MRM.

MRM Career Expo takes place from 12:30 to 2:00 pm on Saturday afternoon at each MRM.

Exhibit space is available for set-up at 10:30 am

October 30 - Region 5–8 (Las Vegas, NV)

Refund/cancellation policy

All registration cancellations must be in writing and received by the APhA Student Development staff at APhA-ASP@APhAnet.org and are subjected to a $75 administrative fee. No refunds will be made for cancellations received after the Friday registration closes.

Contract regulations

The completed Career Showcase Registration/Contract and subsequent notice of assignment constitute a contract between the American Pharmacists Association (hereafter referred to as "APhA") and the exhibitor. The following rules are part of the contract. Any point not specifically covered in these rules is subject to the decision of APhA, whose decision shall be final.

Eligibility for Career Expo participation

In keeping with the educational purposes of the MRM Career Showcase, any exhibitor whose proposed exhibit will enhance the educational purpose of the MRM Career Showcase is eligible to apply for career showcase spot.

Giveaways

The maximum value of all prize(s) may not exceed a total of US $500 retail value. (For example, a company might choose to give away US $10 Starbucks gift cards; USB drives, an item they currently offer to sell, etc.).

Cancellation

Exhibitors shall have the right to cancel this agreement at any time by written notice to APhA. Exhibitors cancelling space 3 weeks prior to the event will receive a refund minus a nonrefundable administrative fee of $25.

Distribution of materials

To help the students focus on gaining information, only career and professional development related information will be permitted to be shared during the career showcase. Representatives should provide handouts or brochures that address career-related topics (e.g., employment opportunities, internships, fellowships, graduate studies, residency and scholarship information).

Liability and insurance

In the event that the APhA MRM Career Showcase is canceled, or the exhibitor does not participate due to circumstances within the control of APhA, the liability of APhA shall be limited to a refund of all monies paid by the exhibitor as exhibit booth rental and registration fees.

Americans with Disabilities Act

Each exhibitor is charged with knowledge of all laws, ordinances, and regulations pertaining to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Compliance with the ADA is mandatory for all exhibitors, and the sole responsibility is that of the exhibitor so far as ADA relates to exhibit space. The exhibitor agrees that it will comply with any provisions of the ADA that are applicable to the exhibitor's space.

APhA has no responsibility pertaining to the compliance with laws as far as individual exhibitor space, material, and operation is concerned. The facility shall be responsible for all accessibility requirements under the ADA relating to the exhibitor space and attendant facilities. APhA shall be responsible for those readily achievable, non-permanent accessibility requirements of the ADA that are applicable to APhA if not otherwise provided by the facility. The exhibitor agrees that it will comply with any provisions of the ADA that are applicable to the exhibitors’ space.
